The automotive radar niche is being positively impacted by rising premium car sales and stringent government regulations for vehicle safety in the light of increasing incidence of accidents. Factors such as increasing vehicle production and sales of vehicles are driving the automotive radar niche. Growing disposable income and technological improvements are influencing the sale of automobiles. Advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), of which automotive radars are an essential part, is being deployed in vehicles to comply with the strict safety regulations.

The World Health Organization mentioned that each year, 20 to 50 million people are injured in road accidents and around 1.24 million succumb to these each year. This is impelling automotive manufacturers to include active safety features that have automotive radars as their component to help avoid collisions and accidents by minimizing the scope of human error. Thus, the automotive radar niche is slated to grow to supplement the requirement for automotive safety.
